| Dolphin Body Filler is a two component liquid used for direct application over
bodywork. It can be used as a final skim polyester putty repair or directly onto minor
imperfections prior to over painting. Dolphin Body Filler is a thick liquid and should be mixed in small quantities on a flat non-porous surface. Dolphin Body Filler is designed for the professional user and combines smooth and good leveling properties together with easy sanding.
Surface preparation and instructions for use
DOLPHIN Glaze Body Filler polyester putty can be used on the following surfaces:
- B- are steel - degrease and abrade with P120 abrasive.
- Galvanized and other Zinc coated steels - degrease and abrade with P120 abrasive. - Aluminium – degrease and sand with P120 abrasive.
Do not apply over etch primer.
- Original paint surfaces - degrease and abrade with P180 – 320 abrasive.
Mixing ratio: 100 parts by weight Dolphin Body Filler polyester filler, 2 parts by weight U-POL
hardener for polyester fillers.
The exact mixing ratio is not critical, although over or under catalyzation may affect the
gel time. To obtain optimum results apply the mixed liquid in small quantities to form a thin film - during cure surface imperfections will flow out to leave a
level repair which requires only a small amount of sanding.
Pot time - Once mixed, 4 -5 mins. at 68°F with 2% hardener.
Tools Needed - Mixing board, filler knife, plastic or rubber spreader.
Drying time - Sandable after 30 mins. at 68°F.
Over-painting Dolphin Body Filler polyester putty can be over-painted with most paint systems.
